Patricia Reigota

ON

My name is Patricia Lopes Reigota , and I am a physiotherapist specializing in pediatrics since 2008. I firmly believe in the unique potential of each child, and it was this conviction that led me to fall in love with psychomotor skills from the beginning of my career. In 2014, I discovered the Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) method and, since then, I have dedicated myself intensively to this innovative technique. Today, I am a Level 4 CME Instructor, trained by the CME Center Chile, directly with the method's creator, Ramón Cuevas.

One by One was born from my conviction that individualized care is the most effective for each patient. Since 2012, we have dedicated ourselves to providing personalized care, focused on the specific needs of each child. The Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) method is perfect for this purpose, as it allows us to adapt therapies according to the potential and unique needs of each child, guaranteeing more effective results.

Thank you so much Patricia, we're already seeing results this week. She's taking the initiative to walk without us calling her, and when she loses her balance and falls down, she gets up and keeps walking. Before, she would finish the distance crawling.

May God bless your life, thank you for being such a good and extremely dedicated professional!

William

I'm so happy for what you've done for João. Thank you so much, you're being an angel in João's life. Thank you, know that you have my gratitude.

Melissa

Today she walked quite a bit, short distances on her own. In the living room, she was going back and forth while we helped her position herself, and in the hallway she was crouching down but also taking a few steps. She also rode a lot on her balance bike, starting and changing direction without help. Let's see if she repeats these feats tomorrow. Although her shoes are slipping a little, she's much more steady now.

Tuesday's CME session brought many gains 😊

What is CME?

CME therapy helps children reach their full potential every day by providing consistent, high-quality therapy.

The Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) method is an innovative psychomotor therapy that uses dynamic and challenging exercises to actively stimulate automatic motor responses. This approach promotes the development of new, previously absent motor functions in children.

Created by Chilean physiotherapist Ramón Cuevas in the 1970s, CME can be applied from 2 months of age and is based on four fundamental principles:

  1. To stimulate new motor functions: Using exercises that encourage the emergence of new motor skills.

  2. Stimulating automatic motor responses: Focusing on motor responses that occur naturally and automatically.

  3. Exposing the child to the force of gravity: Using exercises that involve gravity to promote motor development.

  4. Applying more distal sockets: Providing the minimum support necessary to encourage the child's motor independence.

CME Treatment here at One by One

It can be done continuously or through intensive programs (1 to 4 weeks with one or two sessions per day).
NOTE: Intensive courses can only be performed by CME Level 3 certified professionals.
